Moving Out?
Please remember that we do not prorate at move-out.
At Bailey Self Storage, we strive to make your move-out process as seamless as possible. Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth departure:
1. Prepare Your Unit for Move-Out
- Remove all items from your storage unit.
- Ensure the unit is broom clean with no trash or debris left behind.
- Secure the unit by placing the black lock back on the door and locking it.
2. Submit Your Move-Out Request
- Do It Yourself 24/7: Log into your Tenant Portal and select the “Move-Out” button. Follow all prompts to complete the process. (Failure to complete all required steps will result in continued billing for the unit.)
- Agent Assistance M-F 8 am-4:30 pm: Call us at (717) 455-3436 Monday-Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm
3. Final Inspection & Account Closure
- A Bailey Self Storage team member will inspect your unit within one business day (Monday – Friday, excluding holidays).
- You will receive a confirmation email that your move-out is requested. Pending your unit passes inspection you will receive a final confirmation that your move-out is successfully processed and no additional steps or fees are required.
Cleaning & Damage Fees
If the unit requires additional cleaning or maintenance, a $250 Cleaning/Maintenance Fee may apply. Additional cleaning includes, but is not limited to:
- Removal of leftover items, trash, or furniture.
- Sweeping, scrubbing, or power washing floors due to dirt, grime, or stains.
- Cleaning walls and doors to remove scuff marks or residue.
- Deodorizing for strong odors caused by food, chemicals, or mold.
- Disinfecting for hazardous spills or unsanitary conditions.
- Pest removal if infestations are present.
- Repairing damaged unit features such as vents, seals, or flooring.
